Ficlet: Bugged (for Vigilante_Wake!)

Notes:  I wanted to write something with some humor in it for vigilante_wake 's birthday.  Unfortunately, my sense of humor is not as good as hers.  Written also for fortycakes  challenge #6--"Jail."  fortycakes --your one-stop shop for fanfic based on the Superdictionary!

Summary: Lex Luthor contemplates his condition.



When Lex Luthor stole those forty cakes, how could he know they had been bugged?  How could he know someone had put listening devices in them?  Superman had caught him and put him here.  Lex hated Superman.

Lex suspected Batman had given Superman the bugs.  Lex hated Batman too.

Lex's mattress was also bugged.  His mattress had many small insects in it. 

Lex hit the mattress with his fist.  "I am so bugged!" he said.  "I am so annoyed!"

Lex's cell-mate, Bluto, looked at him.  "Did you say you were buggered?" he asked.  "Did you say you were--"

"--No, no.  I did not," said Lex hastily.  He said it quickly, so he would not hear the end of Bluto's sentence. 

Lex hated being in jail.  He hated being in places with bars on the windows and doors.

While digging for prompts, it is rather easy to find entries with Superman. Or Batman. It is less easy to find one with both.

Which of course means that they're pining for each other. They are staying separate and each thinking they are the only ones having sexy thoughts about the other one. Superman and Batman are in denial. They don't realize that they need to engage in industrial strength makeouts ASAP.

Not to worry, I am perfectly capable of finding the implications with only one of them. For example, "without," in which Superman is taking off his boots, most likely is related to some kind of foot fetish thing... *nods*
