Title: Bugged
Fandom:  Superdictionary
Pairing/Characters: Lex Luthor
Notes:  I wanted to write something with some humor in it for [livejournal.com profile] vigilante_wake 's birthday.  Unfortunately, my sense of humor is not as good as hers.  Written also for [livejournal.com profile] fortycakes  challenge #6--"Jail."  [livejournal.com profile] fortycakes --your one-stop shop for fanfic based on the Superdictionary!
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 137
Summary: Lex Luthor contemplates his condition.

When Lex Luthor stole those forty cakes, how could he know they had been bugged?  How could he know someone had put listening devices in them?  Superman had caught him and put him here.  Lex hated Superman.

Lex suspected Batman had given Superman the bugs.  Lex hated Batman too.

Lex's mattress was also bugged.  His mattress had many small insects in it.

Lex hit the mattress with his fist.  "I am so bugged!" he said.  "I am so annoyed!"

Lex's cell-mate, Bluto, looked at him.  "Did you say you were buggered?" he asked.  "Did you say you were--"

"--No, no.  I did not," said Lex hastily.  He said it quickly, so he would not hear the end of Bluto's sentence.

Lex hated being in jail.  He hated being in places with bars on the windows and doors.

Poor Lex. Though I suspect Bluto turns out to be very cultured and they have long intellectual discussions, lol...

Lex Luthor is a fine piece of manhood. :) I love the scan of him looking all annoyed on his cell bed for the prompt!

*grin* Damn, I can't link to the Superdictionary scans on [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily anymore!

I belatedly realize I might need some context for this fic, lol... forgive me if you know all this!

Basically the Superdictionary is a children's dictionary published in the 1970s using DC heroes and villains to define words. Which all sounds reasonable until you see the actual definitions, which are totally insane. The most famous is perhaps the definition of forty:

Then there's Superdictionary's Batman:

And, uh...

Yeah. Superdictionary rocks. :)

*mourns scans_daily*

I do remember seeing some Superdictionary scans a while back and there's the Lex stealing the cakes icon which always makes me grin.

Just think how freaky would it be to rewrite one of your fics Superdictionary style - the mind boggles! ;)

Hee. Thanks. I'll admit I've seen Lex with the cakes one but not the other two. Also is it really advisable to bug cakes? What if people ate them? I'll admit that makes it funnier except for the people that could of ate them. Lucky they're fictional. ;-)

It was Batman. He knew Luthor wouldn't eat the cakes.

LOL, this was so cute! Poor Lex. And I was very happy that it might be possible that Batman could have played a role in this too. Awesome job squeezing him in and awesome job overall with this.

I'd be ecstatic if you could write S/B slash in the superdictionary-verse. XD

*cackle* Oh, Lex, your predicament inspires much hilarity. It makes us all laugh hysterically at you. Er. I mean, with you, of course.

And as is my duty, I bestow challenge points. And cake.

The forty cakes had been bugged!! *rolls around laughing*

Lex's cell-mate, Bluto, looked at him. "Did you say you were buggered?" he asked. "Did you say you were--"

*falls over laughing*

Lex stealing 40 cakes may have been terrible, but this was just completely awesome. <3

*snicker* I love the Superdicitonary and the fortycakes community. " 'Did you say you were buggered?' he asked. 'Did you say you were--' "...Of course not, Bluto. Lex would not stand for that unless the bugger-er was a certain Kryptonian... (mmm... clex is almost as much fun as S/B ^_^) *falls over laughing*
