Ah, to be honest even if you read the Silmarillion you might struggle a bit! Star's favorite obscure pairing is Glorfindel/Eonwe (herald of Manwe) and the eagle is his symbol. I realized too late that with Arwen as a POV character I couldn't really explain that! :) BUT it was fun to write some happy time with Arwen and her parents...
