I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to reading this this morning. I started here because I had forgotten much and wanted to properly dive into this world again (kind of like with Heroes). Mmmh silk ascots and embroidered chairs, lovely!
And of course, the whole scene, wound bandaging, naked chest in the firelight...YUM
Bruce's sense of loneliness comes across very well (I have sort of half forgiven him already - perks of being a favourite).
