I feel bad for Bilbo who's been cut off from a lot through the ring but I can't help shifting my worry over to Thorin now that he's on the scene again.
They've both been so worried in their own way, but Thorin has been worried FOR Bilbo, which is particularly bad and intense for him!
*misty eyes* He's unreal, that's what he is. Or more accurately, he's a dwarf, stubborn and determined and steadfast in the best possible old fashioned way.
I have a huge soft spot for Thorin as an oddly old-fashioned wooer, given to huge sweeping romantic moments...
Dear Eru, it must be KILLING Thorin to see his beloved in the thrall of that thing.
ARGH I KNOW, poor Thorin, it just--ugh!
And Gandalf! We shall see if he's any good at talking sense into hard-headed dwarves, lol...
