YESSS. I thinks so, too. In the beginning he looked down on such behaviour but as his esteem (how wonderfully old fashioned) for Bilbo rose, he began to see the merit in comfort and homely things...

They have a very odd and understated relationship in this series, no big clinches or declarations, and I haven't been able to convince them to do much more! But oh, they are absolutely committed to each other, I promise.

I can't wait for Dís to interact with Thorin... I loved the Dwarf ladies they pictured in the artbook! (btw mine is the one for Unexpected Journey, will have to wait for my birthday for the second)
