headdesk headdesk *headdesk * I think … guilt is a family disease with these...
Royal families and guilt in Tolkien! Soooo delicious...
Ah noooo. But it is sooo fitting that the ring and the dwarves' natural hungering for gold and jewels go so well together. *sigh *
I know, it all fits together way too well, doesn't it? They play off each other and it just gets worse...
AHA! Also, very very nice. Well done, fantasy!Bilbo!
OMG is this real? Or did you invent it? I am very fondly reminded of wonderful times spent on the mirrormere archive. OMG have you been a writer there???????
I don't know if I'm up to creating anything this awesome, lol! No, that's canon from Tolkien--Gimli stops by with Frodo to look at it in Fellowship...I really loved the idea of Thorin having a chance to look into it...
Fantasy!Bilbo is looking out for Thorin even if real!Bilbo isn't sure what's going on!
Awww he's grown up. It's sad.
I know! But all part of becoming a King eventually...
Very nice paralleling. I'm holding onto the thought that the darkness is always blackest before dawn... and that the ring has to leave thorin.
Stepping into the darkness--at least they're together for now! But the ring and Thorin make for a very bad combination, I know... *crosses her fingers for them*
