That whole paragraph. Sooo Bruce and Clark. Bruce manipulating everything to his/their advantage, Clark with his ethical doubts.
It's fascinating to me how well Bruce and Lex understand each other in this universe--with that one key difference, that Lex is more willing to risk people getting hurt (not in, this world, to actively hurt people, but to take risks that could well lead to it).
Bruce, hate to break it to you, but you are one transparent glass wall. :-D

Heh, the funny thing is, I never watched the show this references either! On the show "Firefly," one of the characters uses the line "curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal," and now people use it a lot to refer to that kind of "it was obvious you were going to turn on us and yet I'm still surprised" moment. Like us, Bruce never watched the show, though...
I smell some (hopefully minor) catastrophe in the future! Replacing a thorough worker who is concerned with the safety of wrestlers... But I know in this verse nothing too bad will happen, thank God!
Um, ummmmmmmmm. *sad face* The Graysons' back story is going to remain sadly the same! It was one of the first parallels that came to me when I started planning this story, and because of that a lot of different plot points hinge on it... I'm sorry! It's the only non-kayfabe death in the series, I promise!
