The secret courage of hobbits! Poor Bilbo though, thinking he'd die soon.
I love love love when hobbits gets to suddenly show their mettle! I'm just about to write up another scene like that and I'm actually on the edge of my seat for Bilbo even though I already know he's going to pull through (um, obviously, I'm writing it!)
I also love the thought of Thorin having travelled with the Rangers for a while.
Yes, yessss. I kind of want to see the Adventures of Thorin, Dwalin, and Balin with the Rangers of the North now. Do you think maybe they knew Aragorn's father? I wonder!
Oh if you could have heard my dolphin noises... Finally he gets to meet an elf, I'm so happy for him!
Laerdan isn't even exactly an OC...he's a character in the online game, lol! I liked him when we were playing (I'm in the middle of rescuing him right now in a quest line) so I wanted him to make it into the story...
True. And I think only this Thorin would admit this in front of other dwarves...
It's true, and even he grits his teeth while admitting it, lol...
In all the excitement I had completely forgotten they were still there! Hmm, probably they are going to prove useful in the future like the spun sugar animals. Or they could be a gift to the elves in Rivendell...I bet they'd love viola tea!
I am certain the elves would find Bilbo's viola tea a treasure, but it's definitely reserved for the dwarves eventually! *grins* There just hasn't been a good occasion for it, it's delicate stuff and requires just the right brewing conditions...
I can't wait for Bilbo to make it all better.
Oh God, neither can I, the next two chapters are very mmmm (and then everything goes to hell again, sigh).
