Awww bless the dwarves and their literal-mindedness. Although, at this point I suspect Thorin has his suspicions but vehemently refuses to think about them.
I will tell you that there is a (sort of) literal heart involved in the cure as well! Apparently the poem is hinting there's more than one way to cure the disease, although they haven't quite pieced that together yet. *grin*
It must be so hard for them to leave all this behind what with their keen appreciation for craftsmanship. I bet they'd like to study the things at home and get inspiration from them or discover a new technique or two... I'd quite like to visit Himring myself if I'm honest.
It must be so hard, I agree! Everything is lovely and well-crafted, even if by (ugh) elves. :)
SUPERFLAIL! Thorin finally said it!
HE DID NOT! Well, he sort of did, lol...
o_O Wow. He has gotten strong, hasn't he?
*snort* I might have forgotten just how heavy a stone stool would be. Let's assume it either was on wheels or he had to exert himself quite a lot!
It shouldn't be funny, since Thorin is quite serious but I can't help laugh at this.
Hee, I loved that statement so much because...it's true, isn't it? Nothing can be done without reciting a lot of history and poetry and discussing legends and precedent!
Oh my. That was too much apparently. I have to keep reminding myself that this Bilbo hasn't met any orcs yet, nor any spiders in Mirkwood or trolls. Though there were the wolves and the wights...
It's true--this Bilbo has kind of just...fallen in over his head and has yet to really commit himself to the quest. It will happen, though! And very soon, actually! *beams and runs off to scribble more* Thank you and I hope your job and summer are going great!
