Yes, that's what he does, isn't it? He is ever so good at compartmentalizing... I think had his life been different he would have been a superb theatre actor. (In some ways, that's what he is anyway... are there actor!Bruce AU's? I wonder. The parallel is so obvious. And Clark could be the journalist who writes for an artsy magazine and reviews the plays...and then does an in-depth portrait of Bruce, hmmm...plotbunnies)

YES! Incidentally, there was wresting on TV in the pub last night. I was openly laughing at the screen at their antics and a friend was frowning and saying she totally didn't get why anyone would watch this. She only saw the violent aspects of it and criticized that wrestling glorified violence. I'm pretty sure that would have been my opinion on it as well, before reading your fic.
apparently performing drunk (or high, or worse) is horribly common in reality.
And this reminds me that in the real world, yes, there are problematic aspects...
