Not an unreasonable assumption.

It...it really isn't. I mean, that's part of what we love about Sherlock, that he is distracted and fascinated by so many things, but it does have its drawbacks...

This is eerily similar to superhero canon, isn't it? They trust each other with their lives all the time but personal lives are an entirely different matter. Hmm I think a lot of Bruce/Clark fics revolve around establishing that second, more important trust (more important for a romantic relationship anyway).

*facepalm* Oh, you're so right. Obviously Superman and Batman trust each other totally in the field, but can they trust each other with their emotions? It's exactly the same question. Do I, maybe, have a Type? :)

Kink. I has it. Sherlock's voice in my ear, *liquefies *

Ummmm, yeah. No one could expect John to finish the list with that going on!

Ha! The only fic I have posted here on dreamwidth is based on the same idea, and it is even the same fandom! How clothes are close to their owners (and they have personality...hehe).

Ooooh! Link please? Pretty please?

Wow, that is such a turn on how quickly John is getting into his headspace.

I, uh...I debated how fast John would get into that kind of subspace, and although he's a snarky guy, he seems, well, very used to doing as Sherlock says without question. So it seemed to me he'd be almost too fast at times--he spends some of the next chapter just trying not to get there and give Sherlock something of a challenge, lol...

I remembered just in time, too. :-)

*grin* Good! I had to make sure Sherlock mentioned it explicitly so John would definitely remember he had the option...

Oh God. The only thing I can say is: FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS FLAIL FLAIL

AHHH thank you! For some reason it was that "abandoned" verb that hit me really hard, imagining Sherlock writing all these angry notes to himself just...kind of destroyed me, lol. I'm so glad it worked for you, I was a little afraid people would take it as a sign Sherlock wasn't actually trustworthy if he had to leave notes everywhere? But it seems to have worked. *whew*
