Thanks for the link, I got a good laugh out of that discussion - phallic indeed LOL. I prefer middleground ears - as someone there pointed out: it's just more practical when running through doorways. Imagine Batman getting caught with his ears on a doorframe or the like. So you need to balance practicality with sense of drama. I bet Bruce thought about that compromise long and hard. :-)
