"He's right." Everyone--including Clark--stared at Bruce Wayne, leaning against the wall near the door. This is so Bruce, coming out of the shadows and giving his advice...
"I mean, I'm not blading in every match, no way, but it makes an impression you can't beat. Wow they are taking showmanship to another level there...
On another note, I like how everyone is always surprised when Clark comes up with something intelligent. People always underestimate him, or in this case confuse him with his gimmick – just like in the superhero world (and a lot of fanfics which fail to differentiate between Clark, Superman and Kal-El)
"I ain't no pumpkin!" LOL
Guy tried to turn the botched move into something that looked good This kind of skill is admirable.
Wayne's the one who suggested the angle. Said he wanted to work with you. Sneaky Bruce is pulling all the strings...:-)
Trust Bruce to have a perfectly rational reason for working with Clark. I like that he admits the other one to Clark, though. Clark is making him laugh, yay!
"It cannot come soon enough." Bruce seems looser in this 'verse somehow and I like it. As glymr said above, everything has a sense of joy and as a reader I appreciate that very much. :-)
