Nice twist on the origin of Clark's quest for truth and justice. The last sentence ties this chapter up perfectly. It's funny how these slogans do sound cheesy to us (or at least me) nowadays. I feel we have become a bit cynical about such simple statements. But here we can see how they really work in the right context, can inspire and give hope.
