Have I ever mentioned that having fic to read in the morning, with my first coffee, is quite possibly the thing that makes me the happiest?
I'm really glad my usual schedule works out well for you! :) I usually mean to post in the morning and then things get busy and next thing I know it's getting late... so breakfast fic it is!
He doesn't have the luxury of a super-computer and a highly effective database system, so he became his own... Brilliant and resourceful. How can you not love that?
It's hard to imagine Bruce without his computer to check! People in oral cultures usually have very good memories, and I'd bet Bruce's is one of the best...like a human computer, in this world!
And it makes Kal feel less...I wanna say alien, but that kinda sounds stupid *lol*...less different, more "a part of this" - and I think it's soooo sweet that Kal finds a bit of happiness in that. *hugs him*
It's a fine line between "playing pretend" and...giving Kal some space to connect with the world around him and the people in it, you know? I do think Kal would find it a blessing to have a chance to see the world not as a conquerer but as a person...
Looking forward to Bruce and Kal meeting Scarecrow. Hopefully the good guys come out of this with both their heads still screwed on right. ;)
Of the Batman villains, I have a real weakness for Scarecrow! Maybe it's because I can find something in his quest for knowledge, awful as it is... though my complete inability to watch horror movies means I don't have the proper tropes handy when I write him, lol. Beta has to help out a lot there...
