Yeah, he...needed that experience to become the White, you know? I couldn't find a good way to get him there without giving hima death scene. But as you point out about the end, it's probably not permanent.:)

Ah. I have always loved that part of the Silmarillion! (I started it once but just never finished...)

It is NOT an easy book to read, and keeping the characters straight has always been hard for me! But the idea of the world being forged through music is so beautiful...

I'm glad that touch of hope came through, yay! :D
