I had heard that about the jury system! I saw someone try to defend it as pointing out that they say it was convened in "very unusual circumstances," but I don't think there's ANY circumstances so unusual that you can suddenly have a jury trial in a country with no jury system. It would have been such an easy thing to check! And they could have had their nice dotted line in a slightly different direction if they'd moved it to a different country...
