And do I detect a hint of hurt pride here? Up to now he was the only one in the party with Elvish language skills which I believe he secretly is quite proud of.
Eeee, yes! I think he's also jealous in a different way--"I thought Bilbo was learning Khuzdul! Why is he speaking Elvish languages now!"--but oh, I like that idea--and the idea of Thorin as a university professor, yummm.

Yay! There aren't many bright moments for the next few, so I wanted to enjoy this one as much as possible. Elves and dwarves bonding over killing orcs is also one of my favorite things...

I know, Thorin trying to keep Bilbo safe just makes me melt, mmmm, protective princes. :)
