But people show up and leave flowers n'stuff at the site of mass accidents, or on the lawns of families who've lost someone in a big public way, like at mass shootings or mass disaster points or public things like kidnapping etc...
And also, heh, if Lex had publicized anything, ppl would say he was milking it and the fund wasn't really for Dick anyway. You can't 'win' when you've crushed so many for so long - you don't represent a fellow withing humanity at that point. You're just 'authority'. So why not folks showing up, not knowing what
