It's probably unhealthy, perhaps, that I noticed Bruce cutting off his laughter abruptly but didn't think anything strange of it other than; of course he'd immediately focus on whether or not he was careless with Clark's injuries.
The self control involved doesn't seem abnormal to me at all. I'm peeking in my brain now and trying to figure out if other people just DON'T sober up when something reminds them of something serious.
PS: Dick isn't Dick without his origins. Just like Bruce isn't quite Bruce without his. You can have a Bruce w/ living parents, but there's still that inspiration moment from utter despair and terror somehow (even if it's mitigated and somehow everyone's saved, he still remembers that moment of helplessness).
