You know, I already left a comment at AO3, but I just re-read this and felt like leaving another one.
I really like Luthor as the not!evil genius behind the promotion. He's a pragmatic business man first, and he's evil in much the same way that the heels are evil: for show. Now I don't know what kind of shenanigans he'll get up to behind the scenes, but I really...liked him here.
Bruce, please tell me you demanded creative control of your (and Clark's) storylines as one of your stipulations.
Also, Bruce, how did you get Lex to give Clark a huge salary (is it partly yours?) without tipping your hand???
Are we going to see the "Man of Steel" now? Are we? Are we? Are we? *jumps up and down like a little kid*
I like Lex so much here that it almost makes me sad to think of Bruce going off and starting his own group, even as I'm excited that he's clearly thinking about it. I understand so much better now why he didn't just start one up himself from the beginning - he needed to learn about it from the inside, live it - it's a nice parallel for his training to become Batman. I wonder if he and Luthor will end up splitting and doing a joint thing - the Justice League versus the Legion of Doom? Hmm, maybe that doesn't really work, though. Of course, Luthor could turn out to be a total schmuck and get put in jail for fixing bets or something, and Bruce would have to do something then...but I'm getting ahead of the story, here. Sorry, just thinking out loud. ^_^;
Anyway, I liked this so much that I left TWO comments, because it is amazing and I love it. *hugs*
