They really do this in wrestling, too. @_@ The arrival of AIDS made them (mercifully) reduce it, but it's still done, if saved for matches where a little "extra" is needed.
Sneaky Bruce is pulling all the strings...:-)
He's definitely manipulating things, isn't he? It made for such an interesting battish approach to his character, somehow.
Bruce's intensity does ramp up more later! But Clark really helps him mellow out a lot, and it's such a joy to write...
