This fic reminds me of an episode of the animated JLU, where Superman says some lines like "I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard" -- definitely one of the moments when I feel totally in love with him :)
Yeah, definitely that sort of feeling! I find Clark astonishing that way, what it must take not to break everything and how important it is to him that he doesn't... I'm glad you like the theme, it does crop up fairly often in my stories, doesn't it? *grin*
