Sorry for the delay in replying to this one - it's an emotionally difficult chapter for me. I love the description of the match though, one of many you've written that make me wish they actually existed so I could watch them!
Jason will be back. It's the universal law of wrestling - assuming they do not die first of a drug problem (which you've removed from this AU) or do something stupid down in the indies, they'll always come back.
My heart aches for Bruce, but oh, the rest of me is so frustrated with him. It's a wonderfully written idea, the notion that instead of crime-fighting, the trauma of his parents' loss forces him to latch on to the narrative of good and evil, it being the way he makes sense of a senseless world. But hanging one's sanity on that kind of ideal is a bad idea when the world, true to it's fashion, does not work that way, leading to the inevitable breakdown - and that's the voice of my own experience speaking. I hope Clark and Dick understand just how messed up this is and continue giving him the support he needs.
