Heeeeee! this is such a cute story, I have the silliest grin on my face :3 young and adorable! that's my boys!(girl!) Hee!

Pa Kent shook his head. "Honey, you know that if I did that with no help but my little daughter, there'd be questions."

"I'm not that little," she grumbled.

Awww! I loved Pa Kent here! There is a lot of focus on Ma Kent being supportive and.. the emotional back up for Clark, that I really liked seeing Jo with Pa Kent. I mean.. it makes sense! Daddy's little girl :3

"I wanted to apologize for being such a grouch today," she said, picking up her fork. "It was rude of me."

He shrugged. "Nah. I get arguing and don't know when to quit," he said uncomfortably.

Awww! I loved the exchanges in school! and this.. this one is so perfect because they are young and unguarded -despite being so careful, they just don't have solid enough walls- and embarrassed and uncomfortable X) Clark being grouchy, Bruce not knowing when to stop! you translated Clark into Jo and their dynamics so smoothly, it's a lot of fun seeing the tilting of their interactions, especially in the end.

"No you won't." She put a finger on his lips as his expression started to shift into hurt surprise. "I'll go find you."

Yay! LOL, I love Jo. She's so not going to be your damsel in distress, Bruce! I love how proactive and.. independent and.. kickass both of them are. So full of dreams and hopes. So flirty X) This was a lot of fun to read! heee!
