Re: CAUTION: SQUEE AND FLAILING, OVERUSE OF CAPSLOCK

gray silk gloves (on his aristocratic hands--shut up, movie!) really killed me. :)

ME TOOOOOOOOOO Is it hot in here or what? *fans self*

And what I took from my forays into the artbook is that Richard and Aidan were basically too pretty to be dwarves (fine bone structure etc, slender noses) but WETA had to thin down the prosthetics a LOT (to a couple of millimetres) because they needed and wanted to keep the prettiness (they also apparently looked horrible with some of them). THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY for some reason.

Also, the top hats! Kili and Fili in top hats cracked me up SO MUCH to imagine...

You know this makes me imagine a Victorian!AU with Kíli and Fíli as carousing dandys attending all the parties until the wee hours of the morning and seducing all the ladies...(ANOTHER art idea, will it never end??!! *despairs*)

Oh really? In the book it's a viol, but boy, those are pretty hard to lug around all the time, lol...

EXACTLY. I read the fiddle thing in the artbook and that is precisely the reason why they made the viol into a fiddle - travels better. Apparently John Howe's son is a musician specializing in early music, so he took advice from him.

Yes, yessss, he so is. He may not have smiled much, but wasn't he gorgeous in the movie? Right from the beginning, there in the Prancing Pony, I was just smitten all over again.

'Tis the power of the Armitage... (thank you for posting ALL the lovely photos of him in your tumblr - damn the one with the tight shirt ... THUD) They are invaluable as references... especially as there were TOO FEW THORIN PICTURES IN THE ARTBOOK *cries*

P&P may be where I learned everything I needed to know about country dances, lol. They're so restrained and sexy, I adore them!

Hehe, me too. Love that movie...
