Oh my - he was really really out of it!

He really was--there's long stretches that are just blurs to him at this point, poor Thorin...

FACEPALM

*snickers* I love how Thorin tends to get so stiff and formal when he's uneasy, the frustrating dear...

Um. Okay. This doesn't sound as wonderful as I wish it would for some reason. Is it the ring talking?

Oh good! I'm glad it sounded ominous rather than nice. It's the onset of dragon-sickness, I'm afraid...

And yay for Arwen! I suspected but I wasn't sure... I remembered that she spent much time with grandma in Lothlorien.

*grin* Yes, at this point she's in Lothlorien...nice and far away from that human boy in Rivendell that makes her father uneasy.

Oh, I loved writing the dwarf/elf bluster, you know they'd loathe each other on sight.

Oh brilliantly phrased. His priorities come through loud and clear. ;-)

Hee, I'm glad! I hoped that would come though there as well...

*PURRS LOUDLY* MMmh I am a sucker for sensual descriptions, this was heaven!

I purred quite a bit writing this as well! Having vision cut off can be a lot of fun to write...

Thank Eru for the Power of Nenya (probably).

I believe so! I'd like to think the Ring has less power or (in the more sentient versions) decided it was best to lie low for a while with its Master defeated...

Oh man, now I'm really looking forward to posting the next chapter, because it's got some of my favorite things in it...and it answers a fair number of your questions, so... *dances*
