I found this fun at first, then intensley angsty (even though I'd read the original) and then the very end part was hilarious.

Ah, good! I was surprised at how angsty a version of such an unabashedly cracky original story got--but these two can definitely do that.

Sherlock felt very in character to the BBC version: manipulative, charming, and surprisingly caring in his own emotionally repressed way.

I really appreciate that! He can be such a galling and unrewarding character, he gives so very little away, but when he does, it seems extra sweet sometimes.

The subtle way they get abck together at the end and possibly even start to move forward was also so emotionally satisfying.

You must imagine me while writing the ending tearing my hair a bit and going "Really? Not even a kiss? That's...that's all you're going to give me? Well, okay then." *sulk* Because they can really get like that, somehow. Thank you so very much for your wonderful and thoughtful feedback, this fandom is full of the most lovely readers!
