I like that Thorin is self-aware in his quieter moments, as a Noble Hero (TM) he is pretty much required to be. (movie!Aragorn, on the other hand, sometimes tended to overdo the introspection, IMO.) It's the only way for a happy ending...


Thanks for clearing that word-question up. I love the English language partly because of its large vocabulary but the downside is that one is never finished learning. Maybe that's also an upside *g*
