I have to agree with you... It was just my mind working in mysterious ways for a bit. lol! I remember a scene from a book - I'm going to venture a guess that it's one from Marion Zimmer Bradley (memory is bad and I read that over a decade ago) - where Arthur, who is desperate for an heir, arranges for Lancelot to sire the child he cannot give to Guinevere, and lays in bed with them while they do. It's an...interesting image, let's say. I'm using a variation on that theme in something, which probably explains why I'm remembering this.
